Supporting Our Schools
Driving Support
We unite the community to address immediate needs in the Clark County School District. Together, we are driving support to our public schools.
What We Do
In partnership with the Clark County School District, PEF helps guide effective investments in education to meet critical needs of our students, families, and educators. We bring public and private partners together to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed in school and in life.
“When the business community has wanted to invest in education, they’ve trusted the Public Education Foundation, and I am proud to be part of an organization that is working hand in hand with our school district.”
Growing Initiatives

CCSD Book Bus
The Clark County School District, the Public Education Foundation, and Spread the Word Nevada have partnered to create the CCSD Book Bus! The Book Bus connects students with free books to increase literacy and spark interest in reading among students and their families. To learn more, click here.

School Accounts
The Public Education Foundation is honored to be the charitable partner for schools in the Clark County School District. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we manage private donations so public schools can get the help they need while providing all of the tax benefits donors want. Contact us to learn more.

CCSD Employee Recognition
CCSD and PEF partner to recognize CCSD team members for their commitment to supporting students throughout our community. Employees from across the District nominate their colleagues who demonstrate exceptional performance and commitment to student achievement for the annual CCSD Employees of the Year Awards, honoring the Teacher, Support Professional, School Administrator, and Central Administrator of the Year.
Past Initiatives
As the needs of our public schools change due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19, we continue to adapt to provide critical support.

Direct Care For Kids
When school buildings closed, PEF immediately partnered with Communities In Schools Nevada and Spread the Word Nevada to provide books and educational materials to students so they could continue learning from home. Together, we provided nearly 60,000 kits to students across Clark County.

Connecting Kids Nevada
When school districts decided to start the 2020-2021 school year online, the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force partnered with PEF, Communities In Schools Nevada, and the Elaine P. Wynn and Family Foundation to identify and connect students with the tools they needed for distance learning. Within four months, we reached every student in the state utilizing online learning and ensured each had a connection to a device and reliable internet at home.
