Volunteer

Volunteers are an important part of our mission to meet critical education needs that will strengthen our public schools.

The Public Education Foundation is always looking for volunteers to help support the over 18,000 teachers and 300,000 students in Southern Nevada public schools.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Scholarships Plus

Scholarships Plus provides more than $6 million dollars in college scholarships each year to help students pursue their dreams of attending college or vocational school. Volunteer roles with Scholarships Plus include presenting to students about your post-secondary experiences, reviewing and scoring applications, and compiling student and donor award notification packets.

Book Bus

The Clark County School District, the Public Education Foundation, and Spread the Word Nevada have partnered to create the CCSD Book Bus which connects students with free books to increase literacy and spark interest in reading among students and their families. Volunteer roles with the Book Bus include sorting books, restocking the Book Bus, helping families sign in for visits, and supporting students as they choose their books.

PEF Teacher Superstore

The PEF Teacher Superstore provides school supplies to students who can’t afford them through the teachers who know their educational needs best. Volunteer roles at the Teacher Superstore include greeting teachers, assisting with check-in, restocking items, and assisting with school delivery events.
