Volunteers are an important part of our mission to meet critical education needs that will strengthen our public schools.
Scholarships Plus
Scholarships Plus provides more than $6 million dollars in college scholarships each year to help students pursue their dreams of attending college or vocational school. Volunteer roles with Scholarships Plus include presenting to students about your post-secondary experiences and reviewing and scoring applications.
Book Bus
The Clark County School District, the Public Education Foundation, and Spread the Word Nevada have partnered to create the CCSD Book Bus which connects students with free books to increase literacy and spark interest in reading among students and their families. Volunteer roles with the Book Bus include sorting books, restocking the Book Bus, helping families sign in for visits, and supporting students as they choose their books.
Classroom in a Box
Create meaningful change with a team-building experience that directly supports students for an entire semester! Volunteers assemble supply kits, and each box is signed by its assembler, letting teachers and students know who made a difference. Tools like the Classroom in a Box are an important part of showing our teachers that we believe in them and want them to succeed.
