Driving Potential
We recruit and support diverse, qualified individuals on their path to a teaching career in CCSD. Together, we are driving potential for people in our community.
What We Do
Teacher Pathway recruits, supports, and retains diverse, qualified individuals committed to a teaching career in CCSD. This “grow your own” teacher training program focuses on addressing Clark County’s chronic teacher shortage by helping current paraprofessionals complete a teacher training program.
“Back home in Kenya, education is not free. Becoming a licensed teacher gives me the superpower to give my students the tools my family never had.”

PEF is partnering with Study.com, a national edtech platform, to unlock opportunities for aspiring educators who are preparing for certification tests to earn their teaching credentials. Study.com has donated 100 licenses in comprehensive, cost-free materials and resources to paraprofessionals enrolled in the Teacher Pathway program to help them prepare and pass their teacher certification tests. Teacher test preparation licenses will be distributed to Teacher Pathway mentees who, historically, face obstacles passing the PRAXIS exam.
