Student Artwork Chosen for Holiday Card

The Public Education Foundation has selected artwork from Henry Shi, a junior at West Career & Technical Academy, to grace the cover of the Foundation’s holiday card this year (seen above).

The Foundation was looking for compelling artwork to inspire hope this holiday season, and it established the theme of “Hope in Our Hearts, Our Homes and Our World” for students submitting entries.

Of the 172 entries from eight public schools, the Foundation also selected artwork from three other students that will be the Foundation’s holiday e-cards this year: Alexandra Tockoski (12th grade) of West Career & Technical Academy, Fuji Fama (6th grade) of Canarelli Middle School and Tatiana Kouvatsos (10th grade) of West Career & Technical Academy.

The e-cards can be found here.

All four students whose artwork was chosen by The Public Education Foundation, both in print and those online, received either a $25 gift card or art supplies courtesy of Blick Art Materials.
