Applications for hundreds of scholarships offered through The Public Education Foundation (The Foundation) are available to current high school seniors and college students at thepef.org/scholarships. The deadline to apply for scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year is January 31, 2021.
The Foundation utilizes an online platform that helps students determine which scholarships they are eligible for and makes it easier for students to apply for multiple scholarship opportunities.
Since 1995, The Foundation has provided more than 6,500 students with approximately $19 million in college scholarships. In 2020, The Foundation awarded a record-breaking $2.8 million in scholarships to ensure students with financial need have the opportunity to pursue their post-secondary dreams.
“The Foundation’s Scholarships PLUS team support students every day by showing them that while their lives have been disrupted due to COVID-19, there are still options to continue their education and pursue their dreams,” said Judi Steele, Founder and CEO of The Public Education Foundation. “We want to thank the many generous donors who make our scholarships possible.”
Recent scholarship recipient Angelina Bowles said of the impact of scholarships: “Many kids like me depend on scholarships in order to pay for an education. Without that aid, college is impossible.”
