Being Mindful of Emotions in Negotiations

Dan McCray, Esq., is Director of Labor Relations and Programs and Deputy Director of Cornell University’s Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution.

During his recent visit to The Public Education Foundation, where he is part of the Visiting Faculty at the Foundation’s Leadership Institute, McCray discussed influencing change by expanding the spheres of influence and negotiations.

McCray, who worked with participants in both the Foundation’s Executive Leadership Academy and Teacher Leader Academy, shares why it’s important to be mindful of emotion during negotiations.
