Michael Horn is a co-founder of – and distinguished fellow at – the Clayton Christensen Institute and the former executive director of its education program. He led a team that educates policymakers and community leaders on the power of disruptive innovation in the K-12 and higher education spheres through its research.

Currently, Horn serves as a principal consultant for Entangled Solutions, which offers innovation services to higher education institutions.

Recently, during a session at The Public Education Foundation’s Executive Leadership Academy, Horn guided executive leaders in planning for innovation in their schools. Leaders left the course session feeling prepared to plan for new innovations, approach the implementation systematically and ensure appropriate supports are in place for desired results for students.

During a break in one of the Executive Leadership Academy classes, Horn talked about the discovery-driven planning process and how it can help school and system leaders.
