Marguerite Roza, Ph.D., is Director of the Edunomics Lab at Georgetown University and Senior Research Affiliate at the Center on Reinventing Public Education.
Earlier this month, Roza worked with participants in a session of The Public Education Foundation’s Executive Leadership Academy. Roza focused on spending trade-offs in schools and the need for clarity when analyzing budget spending and student outcomes.
She also worked with the participants to understand student-based budgeting (weighted student funding) and how it can be utilized in school improvement as well.
During a break in one of the classes, Roza discussed how states should address adequate funding and equity in public education.
